Access to Information Officer and procedures

1.

Departmental Secretary is designated as the Access to Information Officer of this Commission. She is responsible for ensuring that requests for access to information under the Code are properly dealt with in accordance with the specified procedures.

2.

Written requests for information or records held by the Commission should be addressed to:

Access to Information Officer,
Departmental Administration Branch,
Audit Commission,
26th floor, Immigration Tower,
7 Gloucester Road,
Wan Chai, Hong Kong

Requests may be made by letter or by application form.

The application form is available:

  • at the Reception Counter of this Commission on the 26th floor, Immigration Tower, Wan Chai, Hong Kong;

  • at the Public Enquiry Service Centres of all District Offices; or

Alternatively, you may fill in the Electronic Formelectronic application form.

The following information is available for public inspection at the Reception Counter of this Commission :

Organisation charts and distribution of business of the Audit Commission (in English)

(b)

Work and performance pledges of the Commission (in English/Chinese)

(c)

Code on Access to Information (in English/Chinese)

(d)

Guidelines on Interpretation and Application - Code on Access to Information (in English)

(e)

List of records by category kept by the Commission (in English/Chinese)

(f)

Audit Commission information published or made available to the public (in English/Chinese)

(g)

Administrative procedures for handling requests for information under the Code (in English)

(h)

Notice on the designation of the Access to Information Officer and the schedule of charges for access to information not routinely published (in English/Chinese)

(i)

Job description of the Access to Information Officer (in English)

Other than publications which are available free of charge, or at a price specified, the photocopying charge is HK$1.00 per copy (in black and white) unless otherwise provided by enactment or approval by the Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury.
