Staff of Audit Commission participated in the "Cross straits, Hong Kong and Macao Audit Theories and Practices Conference 2012"

On 11 and 12 September 2012, the China Audit Society organised the "Cross straits, Hong Kong and Macao Audit Theories and Practices Conference 2012" in Xian. At the invitation of the organiser, the Audit Commission sent a delegation of four staff members — Edmond Chan (Senior Auditor), Kelly Lam and May Chan (Auditors), and Roddy Kam (Senior Examiner), to participate in the Conference.

Our delegation presented three papers at the Conference — "Water losses from unauthorised consumption and inaccurate metering", "Provision of public transport interchanges adjacent to railway stations" and "Development of EcoPark".

The Conference provided a very good opportunity for our delegation to exchange views and ideas on the recent development of public sector audit with other participants.
