Audit Staff lauded with the Secretary for the
Civil Service’s Commendation Award 2025

The Audit Commission (Audit) is honoured that Miss Daphne Chiu, Chief Examiner of Audit, stands among the one hundred recipients of the Secretary for the Civil Service (SCS)’s Commendation Award 2025 for her outstanding public service. Daphne expressed her gratitude to Audit and the Civil Service Bureau for their recognition. She was deeply honoured for the award and the chance to make the best out of her role in auditing for serving the society and the people of Hong Kong.

Through the SCS’s Commendation Award Scheme, which was introduced over two decades ago, the SCS commends civil servants with continuous exemplary work performance on behalf of the Government. At the award presentation ceremony, SCS Mrs Ingrid Yeung congratulated the awardees and said she looked forward to seeing all members of the civil service join hands to move with the times, serve the public with drive, agility and a people-oriented mind, and deliver the missions of governing Hong Kong and contributing to the country.

Prof. Nelson Lam, Director of Audit, was at the ceremony to share the joy and honour of Daphne. Thrilled at the recognition for Audit staff, he thanked all the colleagues of Audit for upholding professionalism in their roles as public servants. The distinguished audit team was indeed a crucial asset of the Commission. It was the team’s dedication to duty that enabled Audit to provide quality audit services and deliver benefits to the people.

Prof. Lam also remarked that under “One Country, Two Systems”, Hong Kong is vested with the double missions of developing itself and contributing to the nation. This year marks the beginning of the country’s 15th Five-Year Plan for National Economic and Social Development. At the start of a bright new chapter, Audit will actively align with the National 15th Five-Year Plan, better integrate into and serve the overall national development, and keep facilitating the high-quality development of our country through professional services.
